Photo Fun!

I decided the other day that it would be fun to take some newborn pictures. I got a bunch of ideas on Pinterest of different poses to can try! :) Here are a few pink ones I did with a cute dark pink blanket that my student Hannah gave to Lydia, (the other side has flamingos on it!) a little light pink blanket my Mom gave Lydia, and a butterfly Great-grandma Robison gave to Lydia that we've attached to her crib.

I've also been learning how to use GIMP, the free photo editing program. It's been a lot of fun watching youtube videos to learn how to use it. I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm enjoying it a lot!

Here is a BEAUTIFUL quilt my Mom made for Lydia! It is called Tropical Sunset! Lydia loves it already.

Here is an idea I saw on Pinterest! I kind of cut out the tape measure on this one, but I LOVE how it turned out! :D She was born at 4:05am as shown on the clock, weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces on May 20th (hard to see) and technically was a little over 20 inches long at birth, so we rounded up. :)

So after all of my picture taking fun, Mitch wanted to do some too and we decided to do computer programming ones! :D Lydia is surrounded by programming textbooks, computer hard drives, a calculator, computer, and her name, written in the C++ computer programming code! :) Mitch says one of the first things he will teach her is programming. So he will teach her programming languages and I will teach her Portuguese. :) The pictures turned out so cute!

  1. Haha. These are so funny and super cute. She has so much personality already! (I've only ever seen her strapped in a car seat asleep.) I love seeing her bright eyes and all her cuteness in these photos!

  2. So true!!! We're hoping that despite the fact that both of us have brown eyes that hers will stay blue! Probably not though, but you never know what genetic surprises you'll have, like a cute little red-haired girl from two brown-haired parents! :)
