It's so exciting the closer it gets to Christmas, there are so many "firsts" for Lydia. This was her first time playing in the snow! Ahhh, the taste of freshly-fallen snow! It was Lydia's first time seeing Christmas lights when Mitch put them up on our deck. She loves looking at them! :) We found a little Christmas elf in our box as we put up our tree! Lydia loves the texture of the branches and all the sparkling ornaments! Also, when she gets excited, she flaps her arms and legs around so fast, it's hard to keep holding her! She is one happy baby! She helped hang ornaments on the tree, including her baby ornament we used last year to announce our pregnancy. We love hanging our favorite ornaments each year--Mitch's Karl Malone and my glass flamingo! Merry almost Christmas from the Steeds! Lydia had a great first Thanksgiving, but she sadly couldn't eat any turkey. Still no teeth yet! ...
September 27, 2019 Happy Fall!!! I just decorated our front porch for the season. :) I seriously haven't posted for about 2 years! I want to get back to blogging, mostly because I want a picture journal to print off in addition to my personal journal I keep already. :) We have a big chalkboard I wrote on and brought out some fun fall decorations I've made through the years and bought a new pumpkin sign for our front door. We planted 4 pumpkin plants in our back yard and have 9 orange pumpkins in the back yard ready for us to carve and put out as decorations soon. :) I love this season and I love decorating! So I'm going to write this post going back in time, so I'll finish with our summer vacation we went on this year to Utah to visit family and friends. :) Last week was my 31st birthday and Mitchy and the girls made me an upside down pineapple cake! It was so delicious! Mitchy got me a framed picture of the two of us from this past...
I can't believe the last time I posted was Lydia's two-month birthday post, and now a whole month has passed!!! Crazy!!! She is growing so fast and getting more and more personality every day. Take yesterday, for example. While I brushed my teeth, Mitch sang to Lydia in her bassinet while spinning her little mobile of jungle creatures. Just as she was nodding off, he stopped singing and spinning. Lydia suddenly opened her eyes wide, stared right at Mitch and started kicking her feet, signifying her demand that the music and spinnage continue! :) Even in her swing, she will get herself into whatever position necessary in order to watch the little bears swing. Below is a picture I took of her the other day but Mitch pointed out that it totally looks like she is taking a selfie! :) So cute! We can't tell if her eyes are going to stay blue or turn brown, they look lighter some days and darker other days. We'll see! She's also wearing our favorite outfit, thanks K...
