Christ Can Help You When Your Mission is Difficult...or Life in General--Cristo Pode te Ajudar Quando Sua Missão é Difícil...ou Sua Vida.

Esse é um email que eu mandei para uma amiga que está na missão no Brasil agora:

Como foi sua semana? Eu espero que tem sido boa. No seu email passado você disse que está passando por muitas provações na sua missão. É tão interessante que quando eu começei com minha missão, eu achei que sempre seria maravilhosa, e quando eu tinha problemas, não seriam muito difícies. Mas NOSSA!! A missão é MUITO difícil! As veses você se sente muito sozinha, muito cansada, muito triste, com saudades de casa, e muito mais. Mas ao mesmo tempo, você tem a alegria de servir O Senhor com todo seu coração, mete, e força. São dois opostos extremos.

Quando eu estava no CTM no Brasil, meu professor, Irmão Diníz disse que uma missão é como um grande, belo campo de rosas. Quando você estã chegando perto da sua missão, parece ser tão linda--todas as rosas, a beleza e você só consegue ver o que seja bom. E quando você entra o belo campo de rosas, nossa, como é lindo, cheiroso e mehlor que você poderia ter imaginado! Mas quando você entra esse campo de rosas na missão, logo você percebe que tem espinhos em todo lugar! Você quase nem consegue dar um passo sem ser ferido e arranhado pelos espinhos. É lindo e doloroso ao mesmo tempo.

Essa dor vem quando as pessoas rejetam sua mensagem, quando outros gritam no seu rosto, quando alguém decide que mesmo sabendo que é verdade que Deus chamou Joseph Smith para ser um profeta, e que Cristo organizou Sua igreja novamente na terra eles não querem mais receber sua mensagem. Mas quando eles rejeitam você, na verdade eles estão rejetando O Salvador Jesus Cristo, quem derramou Seu sangue por eles.

O que pode te dar esforço durante esse período de dificuldade é Jesus Cristo. Ele já passou por tudo que você está passando e sofrendo. Ele sabe como te dar socorro. Você provavelmente usa essa escritura sempre, mas eu amo Alma 7:11-13. Realmente, Cristo é a razão da nossa missão, e cada vez que você segue as regras da missão, acorda exatamente às 6:30 da manhã, trabalhar cem cessar, cada vez que você fala com uma pessoa na rua, mesmo que você esteja cansada e frustrada e acabada, você está dizendo, "Obrigada" ao Jesus. Você está mostrando que você realmente valoriza Seu sacrifíco no Jardim do Getsêmani, e na cruz. E Ele te agradeçe pelo sacrifício que é cada dia na missão e pelo sofrimento que você está passando agora.

No final da sua missão, você vai sair desse belo e doloroso campo de rosas. Você vai olhar para atrás e perceber que mesmo que você consegue lembrar os sofrimentos da missão, você não consegue sentir essa dor mais. Você só consegue ver e lembrar as rosas--belas e poderosas. As rosas são as pessoas que você batizou, ensinou, as companheiras que mudaram sua vida pelo melhor, e as pessoas que você conheçeu que você jamais vai esqueçer no futuro.

 Eu sei que Deus ama você. Eu sei que Jesus Cristo vive e que Ele sofreu tanto para que Ele pudesse ajudar todos nós. Eu sei que Ele está muito feliz que você está no campo missionário Lhe-servindo agora. Vai passar tão rápido, você nem vai acreditar no final. Uma coisa que meu presidente da missâo disse, Presidente Cordon, é que talvez você pense em casa muito durante sua missão, mas quando você chegar em casa, você vai pensar em sua missão cada dia pelo resto da sua vida.

Eu te amo Sister. Você é maravilhosa e eu me lembro muito bem a primeira vez que entramos na sua casa, e nossa, como foi maravilhoso conheçer todas as pessoas na sua família e poder ver vocês aceitar Jesus Cristo e entrar no Seu rebanho. Quando você pense em tudo que o Evangelho é para você, se lembra que um dia, você também vai mandar emails para as pessoas que você batiza agora durante as missões deles. Essas pessoas estão esperando para você achá-las e ensiná-las. Tem pessoas na sua missão agora que são preparadas, que somente você pode ajudar, que precisam do seu jeito e seu testimunho para eles aceitarem Jesus Cristo.

This is an email I sent to a Sister who is serving in Brazil right now:

How was your week? I hope it was good. In your last email you said that you've been passing through lots of trials on your mission. It's so interesting that when I began my mission, I thought it would always be perfect, and when I had problems they wouldn't be that difficult. But wow, a mission is difficult. Sometimes you feel lonely, really tired, really sad, you miss home, and much more. But at the same time, you have the happiness of serving The Lord with all your heart, mind and strength. They're two extreme opposites.

When I was in the Missionary Training Center in Brazil, my teacher, Brother Diniz, said that a mission is like a big, beautiful field of roses. When you are nearing the start of your mission, it looks so beautiful, all of the roses, and you can only see what it good about it. When you enter the beautiful field of roses and can smell the blossoms, it's better than you could have ever imagined! But soon you realize that there are thorns everywhere! You can hardly take a step without being pierced and scratched by the thorns. It is beautiful and painful at the same time. 

This pain comes when people reject your message, when others yell in your face, when someone decides that even thought they know it's true that God called Joseph Smith to be a prophet and that Christ organized His church again on the earth, they don't want to receive your message anymore. But when they reject you, they are really rejecting the Savior Jesus Christ who spilled His blood for them.

What can give you strength during this difficult period is Jesus Christ. He already passed through all that you are passing and suffering. He knows how to give you strength. You probably use this scripture all the time, but I love Alma 7:11-13 in The Book of Mormon. Truly, Christ is the reason for our missions, and every time that you follow the rules of the mission, get up at exactly 6:30 in the morning, work without ceasing, and each time you speak to someone in the street even when you are tired, frustrated and completely spent, you are saying, "Thanks" to Jesus. You are demonstrating to Him that you truly value His sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross. And He thanks you for the sacrifice that is every day of your mission and for the suffering you are passing through now. 

At the end of your mission, you will leave this beautiful and painful field of roses. You'll look back and perceive that even though you can remember the sufferings of your mission, you can't feel the pain anymore. You can only remember the roses, beautiful and powerful. The roses are the people you baptized, taught, the companions who changed your life for the better, the people you met who you will never forget in the future.

I know that God loves you. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He suffered so much so that He could help all of us. I know that He is so happy that you are in the missionary field, serving Him right now. It will pass so fast, you won't even believe it at the end. Something that my Mission President said, President Cordon, is that perhaps you think about home a lot during your mission, but when you get back home, you will think about your mission every day for the rest of your life.

I love you Sister. You are marvelous and I remember very well the first time we entered your house. How wonderful it was to get to know everyone in your family and be able to see you all accept Jesus Christ and enter into His fold. When you think of everything that the Gospel is to you, remember that one day, you too will send emails to the people you baptize now during their missions. These people are waiting for you to find and teach them. There are people on your mission now who are prepared, who only you can help, who need your way of teaching and your testimony for them to accept Jesus Christ.
